Haitian Police Reveal New Details on Drone Trafficking Linked to Notorious Gang Leader Izo

The Haitian Tribune – News Flash

Port-au-Prince — The Haitian National Police (PNH) has released additional information regarding a disturbing operation involving drone purchases made by the criminal organization “5 Secondes,” led by the infamous gang leader known as Izo.

According to new findings, the drones were ordered from the Dominican Republic with the intent to bolster the gang’s surveillance and possibly armed capabilities. The investigation, carried out in coordination with Dominican authorities, led to the arrest of three suspected traffickers: Sténio Saint-Fleur, Roudley Étienne, and Sony Pierre. The suspects were initially apprehended in the Dominican Republic and have since been transferred to Haiti’s Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ).

Under interrogation, the three men reportedly confessed to their roles in the operation, confirming the gang’s involvement in cross-border drone trafficking.

Authorities are continuing the investigation as concerns rise over the growing technological reach of Haiti’s armed gangs.
