American tennis sensation Coco Gauff has earned her spot in the 2025 French Open final, dispatching French underdog Loïs Boisson in a decisive 6–1, 6–2 semifinal victory at Roland Garros. The 21-year-old, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, now prepares to face top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka in a highly anticipated rematch on Saturday.

Displaying poise and precision, Gauff overpowered Boisson and swiftly silenced the Parisian crowd that had rallied behind the hometown favorite. Boisson, ranked No. 361, had captured the hearts of fans throughout her remarkable journey to the semifinals, which included upsets over top-ranked players Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva.

This marks Gauff’s third appearance in a Grand Slam final and her second time reaching the final stage at Roland Garros—she was runner-up here in 2022. Her breakthrough Grand Slam title came in 2023 at the US Open, where she famously defeated Sabalenka in a dramatic final.

Sabalenka’s path to this year’s final was equally impressive. She ended Iga Świątek’s astonishing 26-match winning streak at the French Open, outlasting the defending champion in a gritty three-set battle: 7–6(1), 4–6, 6–0.

The women’s final, set for Saturday, June 7, at 2:00 PM local time (8:00 AM ET), will be a clash of the tournament’s top two seeds. With history between them and a Grand Slam title on the line, the showdown promises to be one of the most electrifying matches of the season.
