US Air Force Delivery

Multinational Security Support Mission

The heavy equipment will be made available to the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti (MMSS). Kenyan police, who are taking command of this multinational force, have already begun deploying on the ground. Although no operations have been launched yet, the presence of these police officers is notable, especially in front of the US Embassy in Tabarre.

US Commitment

This arrival of armored vehicles was announced several months ago by Todd Robinson, US Assistant Secretary of State. “We are working to have more armored vehicles delivered in the coming weeks,” he said, highlighting the United States’ commitment to supporting Haitian law enforcement.

Prime Minister's Determination

Prime Minister Garry Conille, questioned about the issue of gangs, reaffirmed the state’s determination not to wait indefinitely. “The state will not wait indefinitely,” he declared, inviting gang members to lay down their arms and submit to justice.

International Efforts

This delivery of armored vehicles marks an important step in international efforts to stabilize Haiti and restore security in its streets. The international community, under the leadership of the MMSS, continues to work closely with Haitian authorities to combat crime and restore public order.
