PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — The Office d’Assurance Véhicules Contre Tiers (OAVCT) is moving forward with efforts to resolve the long-standing pension concerns of its employees following a new round of discussions with Haiti’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
OAVCT Director General Me Jocelin Pierre, accompanied by members of his technical team, met with Finance Ministry officials on Thursday, August 6, for a working session focused specifically on the pension file.
The meeting represents another step in the institution’s effort to address an issue that directly affects OAVCT personnel and their long-term financial security.
Administrative and Financial Issues Under Review
Discussions between the two institutions centered on the administrative, technical and financial requirements necessary to advance the pension process.

Jocelin Pierre Pledges to Continue Efforts
During the meeting, Pierre reiterated his commitment to pursuing the matter with the relevant government authorities.
The director general has identified the pension issue as a priority for his administration and intends to continue discussions until concrete progress is achieved.
OAVCT officials emphasized that coordination among public institutions will be essential to resolving the matter, particularly because pension arrangements involve multiple administrative and financial responsibilities.
